Leonard Cohen comes to Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Legendary Canadian singer-songwriter, novelist and poet Leonard Cohen will be in Istanbul for two special concerts, as part of his World Tour 2009. Fans in Turkey have eagerly awaited Cohen for many years.
Cohen will perform in two concerts at the Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theater on August 5 and 6. The concerts will be organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, or IKSV, and the Beşiktaş Culture Center, or BKM.
Following the concerts in Canada and the United States, the Leonard Cohen World Tour 2009 will be continuing in Europe. During the tour, Cohen also performs his longstanding classics, such as "Suzanne," "First We Take Manhattan," "Hallelujah" and "Dance Me to the End of Love."
Cohen has been inducted into both the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
