Consumer confidence jumps

ANKARA - Turkish consumer confidence jumped in April to its highest since December 2007, according to the CNBC-e television channel.
The channel’s index of confidence rose to 85.3 points from 65.5 points a month earlier, Istanbul-based CNBC-e said in an e-mailed statement yesterday. The official statistics agency will release its figures for April confidence on May 18.
